The structure, content, and purpose of public education in this country has not changed significantly since its inception, despite our changing world.
In order to take on and sustain the important work of shifting education to meet the needs of all students in this rapidly changing world, it is important to center the experiences of our most marginalized students, families, and educators so that we work to avoid simply replicating what has not worked and done harm in the past. This requires shifts in mindsets, practices, and systems.
